The process of the illustration was very long, I wanted to draw all the references to the film, to place all the characters. I couldn’t decide on a sketch for about a month.In the end, I settled on a concept where Rutger Hauer’s character towered over the city, over all the characters, showing that of all of them, he was the most human.
The exception was the characters of Sean Young, William Sanderson and Joe Turkel. They are placed as part of the pyramid, like the gods that Rutger Hauer’s character cries out for his life.Can you find an origami unicorn in the illustration?
